Our Services
First Congregation Sons of Israel observes Jewish holidays, always striving to enhance the beauty and meaning of its religious services and celebrations.
Members of the Jewish and general community are welcome to participate in our services and activities. We welcome you to become involved in Jewish life in St. Augustine and to be a part of the exciting activities at Sons of Israel.
Our central pillars of observance are the Sabbath Services with an Oneg Shabbat following the Friday Erev Shabbat Service, and a Kiddush lunch following Shabbat Service on Saturday
morning. Our High Holy Days services convey a very special warmth and spirituality.
At First Congregation Sons of Israel, we pride ourselves in offering worship experiences that are traditional and accessible. They reflect our congregation’s values of egalitarianism and inclusiveness. We invite you to participate – by simply attending, by taking an honor during services, by leading a portion of the service, or by chanting from our sacred texts. We believe that the more you participate, the more fulfilling synagogue ritual will be.
